Frequently asked
Nota doesn't hear my piano
Allow microphone access in iOS Settings → Nota Piano. Put the phone close to the instrument, in a quiet room, and play one note at a time with medium force. Digital pianos can also connect by USB or Bluetooth MIDI; Nota then reads the keys directly, with no microphone.
Notes are judged too early or too late
Open Settings → Latency and adjust the offset. Bluetooth speakers and headphones add their own delay; wired audio is more precise.
What is free and what is Premium?
The first part of every song and lesson levels 1–2 are free. Premium unlocks every part of every song, whole-song mode and all lesson levels. It is a subscription (monthly or yearly with a free trial) or a one-time Lifetime purchase, billed through your Apple account.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access stays until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I bought Premium but it's locked again
Open Settings → Premium → Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple account. If it still doesn't work, email us with your App Store receipt.
Is Nota Piano a game or piano lessons?
Both. Songs play like a rhythm game: notes fall onto the keys, you earn PERFECT+ combos, a score and stars. But the keys are a real piano layout and Nota listens to your real instrument, so the game is also practice. The seven-level course teaches reading notes, hand positions and technique step by step.
Where is my progress stored?
On your device. Deleting the app deletes the progress. Sync across devices is planned.
